Over the last couple years I've found out about a whole new <br />
business model that's one of the most ingenious models I've <br />
seen yet - memberships. <br />
<br />
You put up a website, offer a bunch of valuable content on <br />
a particular topic and maybe offer monthly information in <br />
one form or another as well (spending a couple hours a month <br />
...maybe...) and then you market the site and watch people <br />
become subscribers and pay you for your information!! <br />
<br />
It's absolutely amazing!! <br />
<br />
I know a ton of people doing membership sites and there are <br />
a few different types even that I'm probably not even aware <br />
of yet because I'm even still learning about them. <br />
<br />
Other types of membership programs and websites you might <br />
be familiar with and that could be potential business models <br />
you could 'model after' for additional sources of income <br />
include: - Netflix - it's an online membership where you <br />
have access to unlimited movies for one price and your <br />
credit card is automatically charged. - Music download <br />
sites - Monthly book clubs - Monthly wine clubs - Coaching <br />
programs such as mine - Programs for special industry <br />
related materials such as Pre-Paid Legal, financial sites, <br />
business development - Associations or organizations online <br />
such as honeste.com, Information Marketing Assoc. There <br />
are many reasons you could create a membership site and <br />
you don't even have to create one that has to do with your e<br />
xpertise either! <br />

Be careful just going to the internet and doing a search <br />
about membership sites and trying to learn that way because <br />
I did that before writing this and there is sooo much <br />
info out there; you really don't want to waste money on <br />
the stuff that doesn't work. <br />
<br />
One important thing to note when trying to start up a membership <br />
site or program is to remember to install the following systems <br />
or software PRIOR TO DOING ANYTHING, trust me: - You want to <br />
have a shopping cart set up on your site to take recurring <br />
payments - don't try to set up the billing yourself or do <br />
pay pal - You want to have a professionally designed website <br />
so you look more authentic and credible - no one will pay <br />
you if you look amateur - You need to have automated processes <br />
and systems set up for when people join, respond to emails, <br />
for login purposes, etc. because the beauty of having a model <br />
like this is TO MAKE YOU MONEY WITHOUT SPENDING A TON OF TIME!!! <br />
